Gundam AGE 10th Anniversary Blu-ray Box Features Art by Kanetake Ebikawa

In October 2021 Bandai Namco Arts, the anime/music production and distribution subsidiary of Bandai Namco Group, announced they were releasing a Blu-ray box set to celebrate the tenth anniversary of the Mobile Suit Gundam AGE series.

The box set will include: 

  • All 49 episodes of the TV series and the original video animation(OVA) Mobile Suit Gundam AGE: MEMORY OF EDEN
  • Archive drama CD and a special booklet that summarizes the drama CDs of the previous Blu-ray deluxe edition
  • Audio commentary recorded in the previously released Blu-ray deluxe edition and new audio commentary recorded for this Blu-ray Box
  • Credit-less Opening & Ending themes, PSP® Mobile Suit Gundam AGE Universe Accel/Cosmic Drive Opening, Promo Collection 1-4, BD-DVD CM Collection 1-4, and Blu-ray Box PV

The storage box for the Blu-ray set is illustrated by series mechanical designer Kanetake Ebikawa, featuring Flit Asuno’s AGE-1 Gundam AGE-1 Normal, Asemu Asuno’s AGE-2 Gundam AGE-2 Normal, and Kio Asuno’s AGE-3 Gundam AGE-3 Normal. Junya Ishigaki and Michinori Chiba illustrated the inner jacket artwork for mechanical design and character design respectively, showcasing Vagan mobile suits and the three main protagonists of the AGE series.

The Mobile Suit Gundam AGE Blu-ray Box is priced at 44,000 yen and will release February 25, 2022.

Conceptualized and scripted by game developer, President and CEO of Level-5, Akihiro Hino, Mobile Suit Gundam AGE aired from October 9, 2011 to September 23, 2012. The series was directed by Sgt. Frog’s Susumu Yamaguchi with character designs by Michinori Chiba and a mechanical design team consisting of Kanetake Ebikawa, Junya Ishigaki and Kenji Teraoka. AGE is a multigenerational series divided into four arcs following three generations of Gundam pilots from the Asuno family and their roles in the decades-spanning war with the Mars-dwelling Vagans.
