Mobile Suit Gundam Iron-Blooded Orphans MSV Announced

The official Sunrise Gundam portal website Gundam Info has announced Mobile Suit Gundam Iron-Blooded Orphans MSV.

Iron-Blooded Orphans MSV is a project to compile the variety of mobile suits announced in media other than the anime TV series and the gaiden Iron-Blooded Orphans: Gekko. The MSV will introduce the ever-expanding world of Iron-Blooded Orphans and new mobile suits. Designed by Kanetake Ebikawa, Sigrún is a new Valkyrja Frame mobile suit appearing in Mobile Suit Gundam Iron-Blooded Orphans G as the first entry in the new MSV series.

V07-0126 Sigrún

Sigrún is one of the mobile suits developed at the end of the Calamity War that uses a Valkyrja Frame. It is a high-performance mobile suit designed based on the concept of high mobility and high output, and was expected to change the course of the war. However, since mobile suits with Gundam Frames developed at the same time dominated the battlefield, the Calamity War ended without it being given much of a chance to play an active role. It is a rare mobile suit with extremely low production numbers.

Announced in 2019, Mobile Suit Gundam Iron-Blooded Orphans G is a new smartphone app set to release spring 2022 where players can re-experience seasons one and two of the TV series through gameplay and the spin off story, Mobile Suit Gundam Iron-Blooded Orphans: Urðr-Hunt.

Developed by Bandai Namco and Sunrise BEYOND, Mobile Suit Gundam Iron-Blooded Orphans: Urðr-Hunt takes place between seasons one and two of the Iron-Blooded Orphans series, set on the Venus colony of Radonista, following protagonist Wistario Afam piloting the mysterious Gundam Hajiroboshi. Urðr-Hunt will feature anime and gameplay components, with staff members from the original series such as Tatsuyuki Nagai and Masaru Yokoyama returning to their roles for the spin-off game.

A special edition of Mobile Suit Gundam Iron-Blooded Orphans will air to coincide with the release of Mobile Suit Gundam Iron-Blooded Orphans G, totaling nine episodes and will feature part of Urðr-Hunt
