Entry Grade Nu Gundam Releasing in April 2022

Bandai Namco’s hobby business subsidiary, Bandai Spirits has announced the release of the RX-93 Nu Gundam to their Entry Grade line of Gundam model kits during their “Hobby Next Phase 2021 Autumn” product showcase.

Designed by Yutaka Izubuchi, the RX-93 Nu Gundam is piloted by Amuro Ray in the Yoshiyuki Tomino-directed Mobile Suit Gundam Char’s Counterattack film.

Set fourteen years after the One Year War in U.C. 0093, Char’s Counterattack serves as the final confrontation between legendary rivals Amuro Ray and Char Aznable. Char has risen to power as leader of Neo Zeon and plans an all-out assault to decimate the Earth’s population to revive the Earth. Released to theaters in 1988, Char’s Counterattack adapted Yoshiyuki Tomino’s 1987 Mobile Suit Gundam High-Streamer novel, grossing 1.16 billion yen at the box office.

Despite its small number of parts, the model kit possesses high range of motion and color reproduction. The emblems on the left shoulder and shield are reproduced with marking stickers. The model kit can be equipped with the Fin Funnel, Hyper Bazooka and Beam Saber effect that is sold separately with the High Grade Universal Century 1/144 RX-93 Nu Gundam.

The Entry Grade 1/144 RX-93 Nu Gundam is priced at 1,100 yen with an April 2022 release date.
