Bandai Spirits premium figure brand Tamashii Nations has announced a new wave of the Gundam Universe figure line. The line of Gundam figures was launched early 2019 to bring affordable, quality six-inch figures to global consumers. The line’s main features are its “Kinetic Styling”, “Durable Construction”, and “Sharp Form”. The new wave of figures: consisting of Strike Freedom Gundam Type II, Gundam Astray Red Frame, and Gundam Barbatos Lupus will be released September 2024.
Designed by legendary mechanical designer Kunio Okawara, ZGMF/A-262B Strike Freedom Gundam Type II is a modified version of the Strike Freedom Gundam, piloted by protagonist Kira Yamato in the Mobile Suit Gundam SEED Freedom film.
The tagline of Mobile Suit Gundam SEED Freedom is “The wings of freedom to seize the future”. The film is directed by Mitsuo Fukuda, featuring a script by Fukuda, Chiaki Morosawa, and Ryu Goto. Hisashi Hirai returns for character design, while the mechanical design team includes Kunio Okawara, Kimitoshi Yamane, Kazutaka Miyatake, Junichi Akutsu, Manabu Shintani, Zenseava, Takuya Io, and Hiroyuki Taiga. Satoshi Shigeta returns as mechanical animation director. Toshihiko Sahashi is the composer for the film’s music, and the theme song “FREEDOM” is performed by Takanori Nishikawa with Tetsuya Komuro.
Story
In C.E.75, the fighting still continues.
There are independence movements, and aggression by Blue Cosmos… In order to calm the situation, a global peace monitoring agency called COMPASS is established, with Lacus as its first president. As members of COMPASS, Kira and his comrades intervene into various regional battles. Then a newly established nation called Foundation proposes a joint operation against a Blue Cosmos stronghold.

Mobile Suit Gundam SEED Astray is a side story manga set in the Cosmic Era timeline that takes place concurrently with Mobile Suit Gundam SEED.

Designed by mechanical designer Naohiro Washio, the ASW-G-08 Gundam Barbatos Lupus is the new form of Gundam Barbatos upgraded with Teiwaz technology, piloted by protagonist Mikazuki Augus in the second season of Mobile Suit Gundam: Iron-Blooded Orphans.
Directed by Tatsuyuki Nagai and scripted by Mari Okada, Mobile Suit Gundam: Iron-Blooded Orphans began airing October 2015, running for two seasons. Michinori Chiba and Yu Ito designed the characters for the series, with a mechanical design team consisting of Naohiro Washio, Ippei Gyōbu, Kanetake Ebikawa, Kenji Teraoka, and Tamotsu Shinohara. Masaru Yokoyama provided the music composition for the series.
Story
Set in the Post Disaster era, the series follows a group of child soldiers—Mikazuki Augus, Orga Itsuka, and several others as they are hired to protect a young aristocrat seeking to liberate the Martian colony from Earth’s rule. When the tyrannical Earth peacekeeping force Gjallarhorn threatens those involved, Mikazuki must head into battle using a Calamity War-era relic—the Gundam Barbatos.
