Bandai Spirits prize division brand Banpresto will be releasing Quess Paraya, from Mobile Suit Gundam: Char’s Counterattack.
Quess Paraya is a major character in the Mobile Suit Gundam: Char’s Counterattack film, portrayed by Maria Kawamura. She is depicted as the daughter of Adenauer Paraya, the Vice Foreign Minister of the Earth Federation. She is a Newtype with intense emotional fluctuations and selfish tendencies, lacking the ability to consider the circumstances around her. However, she possesses a highly sensitive ability to empathize with the emotions of others.
Due to her hypersensitivity, she senses Char’s true intentions and decides to follow Char’s guidance in Neo Zeon.
Mobile Suit Gundam: Char’s Counterattack released to theaters in March 1988, directed by Gundam creator Yoshiyuki Tomino, with character designs by Hiroyuki Kitazume, mobile suit designs by Yutaka Izubuchi, and mechanical designs by Yoshinori Sayama and GAINAX. Shigeaki Saegusa returned from Mobile Suit Zeta Gundam and Mobile Suit Gundam ZZ to compose the music. Char’s Counterattack grossed 1.16 billion yen at the box office.
