Featured in the new episode, Tamashii Nations will be releasing the Metal Build Gundam Astraea II and Metal Build Proto XN Unit in October 2023 priced at 24,200 yen and 7,150 yen respectively.
The CG anime project was announced March 2022 during the Tamashii Nations’s “Gundam Figures LIVE” event attended by Mobile Suit Gundam 00 director Seiji Mizushima. Revealed Chronicle is a collaboration project with Tamashii Nations’s “Metal Build” figure line and will feature previously unrevealed anecdotes about how design data from the product development phase was used in the anime series. While not a full anime production, Revealed Chronicle will fill in gaps in-between 00’s first and second seasons. The project was said to unveil the secrets of the Double Drive, the missing link to the GN Drive, and feature new mobile suits for Setsuna F.Seiei, Lockon Stratos and other characters.
Broadcasting from October 2007 to March 2009 for a two season run, Mobile Suit Gundam 00 is directed by Seiji Mizushima and scripted by Yosuke Kuroda. Michinori Chiba and Yun Kouga served as the character designers, while the series had an ensemble mechanical design team consisting of Kanetake Ebikawa, Takayuki Yanase, Naohiro Washio, Kenji Teraoka, Hitoshi Fukuchi, Seiichi Nakatani and Kunio Okawara. Kenji Kawai scored the music for the series.
The popular 00 series inspired a theatrical film sequel in 2010 titled Mobile Suit Gundam 00 the Movie: A wakening of the Trailblazer, as well as novels, several manga series, video games and a stage play.
The stage play adaptation of the anime series, Mobile Suit Gundam 00- Awakening By Destruction-, debuted in February 2019, with Fumiya Matsuzaki as director and playwright, and 00’s anime director Seiji Mizushima supervising the production. A sequel to the play was performed in February 2022, titled Awakening By Destruction- Re:(in)novation.
The year is 2307 A.D. While the Earth’s reserves of fossil fuels have been depleted, humanity has obtained a new, nearly infinite source of energy to replace them in the form of large-scale solar-powered generation systems based on three huge orbital elevators. However, the benefits of this system are available only to a handful of major powers and their allies.
These orbital elevators belong to three superpower blocs: the Union, the Human Reform League and the AEU. These confederations continue to play a grand zero-sum game for the sake of their own prestige and prosperity. Thus, even in the 24th Century, humanity has yet to unite as one.
In this world of unceasing conflict, a private armed organization steps forward, declaring their intention to eliminate war through martial force. Using the power of their mobile suits combatively, a series of four high-performance machines each dubbed “Gundam,” the paramilitary organization known as Celestial Being takes the world stage, beginning armed interventions within all the world’s nations.
