Rockband MAN WITH A MISSION has recently appeared on THE FIRST TAKE YouTube channel to perform one of their iconic tunes, “Raise your flag”. THE FIRST TAKE is a popular Japan-based YouTube show where they host various musicians to perform any song from their discography in one take. The channel has hosted such artists as LiSA, Aimer, BABY METAL, FLOW, Creepy Nuts, ClariS, Masayuki Suzuki, Daichi Miura, Harry Styles, and Avril Lavigne. Previously MAN WITH A MISSION performed “Kizuna no Kiseki” with Milet, from Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba- The Swordsmith Village Arc, on the channel.
“Raise your flag” is the tenth single by MAN WITH A MISSION, the Platinum-certified track served as the first cour opening theme song for the Mobile Suit Gundam: Iron-Blooded Orphans anime series.
MAN WITH A MISSION returned to the anime to perform the theme song “Blaze” for the Mobile Suit Gundam: Iron-Blooded Orphans-Special Edition nine-episode “digest” series. As “Blaze” was a part of their latest album Break and Cross the Walls II, the band released a limited edition album cover featuring the ASW-G-08 Gundam Barbatos Lupus from Iron-Blooded Orphans season 2 and a music video featuring memorable moments from the series.
Directed by Tatsuyuki Nagai and scripted by Mari Okada, Mobile Suit Gundam: Iron-Blooded Orphans began airing October 2015. Michinori Chiba and Yu Ito designed the characters for the series, with a mechanical design team consisting of Naohiro Washio, Ippei Gyōbu, Kanetake Ebikawa, Kenji Teraoka, and Tamotsu Shinohara. Masaru Yokoyama provided the music composition for the series.
Story
Set in the Post Disaster era, the series follows a group of child soldiers—Mikazuki Augus, Orga Itsuka, and several others as they are hired to protect a young aristocrat seeking to liberate the Martian colony from Earth’s rule. When the tyrannical Earth peacekeeping force Gjallarhorn threatens those involved, Mikazuki must head into battle using a Calamity War-era relic—the Gundam Barbatos.
