Bandai Namco Entertainment

The mobile game launched in 2019 as a mobile friendly iteration of Bandai Namco’s gunpla-centric Gundam Breaker action game series on consoles. Players are able to build and customize mobile suits using parts awarded through a gacha system, then battle and complete missions. The game featured mechanical designs by the legendary Kunio Okawara and Akira Yasuda, of Capcom and Turn A Gundam fame, and character designs by taiki.

The game’s story mission followed an unnamed protagonist and his friends in the drama of high school gunpla club battles.

Sunrise

In 2021, Sunrise produced a six-episode ONA(original net animation) series as a tie-in to the game, titled Gundam Breaker Battlogue. The anime featured characters from both Gundam Breaker Mobile and Gundam Breaker 3, as well as a new line of Gundam model kits, including Gundam Breaker Mobile‘s signature MSB-GH03 Gundam Helios.

The anime series was directed by the renowned Masami Obari, scripted by Lepton’s Yuichiro Kitaoki and So Mayumi, character designs by taiki and Yuriko Chiba, with a mechanical design team consisting of Kunio Okawara, Kanetake Ebikawa, Kotaro Ando, Kyoryu Kuramochi, Kyoshi Takigawa, and Naohiro Washio.
