Tallgeese II METAL ROBOT Spirits Figure Releasing in September

OZ-00MS2 Tallgeese II joins Tamashii Nations’s METAL ROBOT Spirits line of high end mecha action figures. “METAL ROBOT Spirits” is a blended figure brand combining the elements of “ROBOT Spirits” with the “Chogokin” series to feature die-cast metal parts and joints.

Designed by renowned mechanical designer Hajime Katoki, the OZ-00MS2 Tallgeese II was piloted by OZ leader Treize Khushrenada in the 1995 New Mobile Report Gundam Wing series. This new second Tallgeese was built from the spare parts of the OZ-00MS Tallgeese; other than cosmetic differences, the Tallgeese II is functionally identical to the Tallgeese.

New Mobile Report Gundam Wing was directed by Masashi Ikeda then Shinji Takamatsu, and was scripted by Katsuyuki Sumizawa. The series broadcasted from 1995 to 1996 and featured character designs by Ergo Proxy and Mobile Suit Gundam: Hathaway’s Flash director Shukou Murase, with a mechanical design team consisting of Kunio Okawara, Hajime Katoki, and Junya Ishigaki. Gundam Wing inspired multiple manga, a novel, and an OVA(original video animation) sequel titled, New Mobile Report Gundam Wing: Endless Waltz.

Story

Mankind has moved into space. Thousands of people live on giant orbiting space colonies called “Sides.” However, the Earth Government, which rules the colonies, is unjust and cruel. A group of revolutionaries build five robotic weapons called Gundams and plan to send them to Earth to begin their fight for independence. Piloted by five young men, these Gundams carry the colonists’ hopes and dreams of freedom with them as they descend to Earth to begin Operation Meteor!

Like with previous entries in the METAL ROBOT series, the Tallgeese II has a weighty feeling using die-cast parts and a completely new design to recreate the elegant and heavy silhouette. The Dover Gun’s barrel has a extendable mechanism, allowing for a pose from its first sortie. The connecting arm has many movable points, ensuring the structure does not hinder posing. The ankle has a built-in extending mechanism, expanding the range of motion. The backpack vernier, the biggest feature, can be deployed without replacement. In addition, a gimmick for deploying the side and rear skirts is built-in as a METAL ROBOT Spirits original gimmick. Furthermore, a bonus part, the Beam Trident effect for the XXXG-01S2 Altron Gundam, is included, faithfully reproducing the Tallgeese II’s final battle.
