Mobile Suit Gundam the Witch from Mercury Releases Vol 1 Blu-ray Box Designs



Initially announced in December 2022, Bandai Namco Filmworks released the designs for the storage box and Digi Jacket of the volume one Blu-ray and DVD sets for Mobile Suit Gundam the Witch from Mercury.

Priced at 9,680 yen, the volume one Blu-ray set will feature the first three episodes of the TV anime, “The Witch and the Bride”, “Cursed Mobile Suit”, and “Guel’s Pride”, along with the Prologue.

The set will also include a the Witch from Mercury Special Event Ticket, Special booklet, Asticassia School of Technology Introduction Leaflet,  Asticassia School of Technology Student Newspaper, and End card collection (set of 3 illustration cards from episodes 1 to 3).

The Blu-ray set’s video features include first trailer PV, second trailer PV, Non-credit opening video, and Non-Credit ending video, and also audio commentary.

The storage box features protagonist Suletta Mercury and Miorine Rembran, illustration by original character designer Mogumo. The Blu-ray’s Digi jacket illustration is by mechanical designer JNTHED.

Priced at 6,380 yen, the volume one DVD set will also feature the first three episodes of the TV anime, “The Witch and the Bride”, “Cursed Mobile Suit”, and “Guel’s Pride”, along with the Prologue.

The set will include the the Witch from Mercury Special Event Ticket, the aforementioned video and audio features, and disk jacket illustration by original character designer Mogumo.

The Mobile Suit Gundam the Witch from Mercury Blu-ray/DVD volume 1 will release March 24, 2023.

Season 2 Teaser Visual, Sunrise

Mobile Suit Gundam the Witch from Mercury is directed by Kiznaiver‘s Hiroshi Kobayashi, and penned by Code Geass scribe, Ichiro Ohkouchi. The tagline of the series is “This witch…rides a Gundam”. The series began broadcast October 2, 2022 on twenty-eight of MBS and TBS TV networks on their 5pm “Nichigo” anime block, as well as simulcasted internationally.

The Witch from Mercury completed its twelve episode first season in January and will resume with Season 2 in April 2023. The series is currently listed to run for a total twenty-four episodes across two seasons. From January to March, TV editions of Mobile Suit Gundam: Hathaway’s Flash, Mobile Suit Gundam Thunderbolt and Mobile Suit Gundam Narrative will air in its 5pm time-slot.

A teaser visual was released from Bandai Namco Filmworks(Sunrise) for the upcoming season, illustrated by Mogumo and concept artist Lin Junbun.
