The Gundam statues are easily among Japan’s biggest attractions, drawing in both fans and casual visitors with their towering 1:1 scale, as if lifted straight from the anime.

Based on the RX-0 Unicorn Gundam from Mobile Suit Gundam Unicorn, the life-sized statue stands outside DiverCity Tokyo Plaza in Odaiba, Tokyo. Throughout the day, it features scheduled performances where it transforms between modes, lights up, emits mist, and plays music from the series. The display is especially striking at night.

Moving down to Fukuoka, the RX-93ff ν Gundam stands in Hakata-ku at Mitsui Shopping Park LaLaport Fukuoka. Unveiled in 2022, it is the newest full-scale Gundam statue in Japan. This gundam was based on the popular RX-93 Nu Gundam from the 1988 Mobile Suit Gundam: Char’s Counterattack

Its debut was paired with the opening of Gundam Park Fukuoka, an entertainment complex that brings together exhibits, merchandise, and interactive experiences centered around the Gundam series.

The facility is divided into three main areas. Gundam Side-F offers displays and exclusive goods. VS PARK with G is a sports attraction where guests take part in high-energy, game show-style activities. Namco features a classic arcade space with crane games and other amusements.

Heading to Osaka, the Mobile Suit Gundam GQuuuuuuX Cafe “each choice of justice” offers a limited-time experience for fans. While Bandai Namco has closed its permanent Gundam Cafe locations, the brand continues through special pop-up events like this one.

Inspired by the world of Mobile Suit Gundam GQuuuuuuX, the cafe features themed food and drinks based on the series. It will be held at two locations: BOX cafe&space Tokyo Solamachi from March 12, 2026 to April 12, 2026, and BOX cafe&space KITTE Osaka Store No. 2 from April 23, 2026 to May 24, 2026. As a limited-time event, it is well worth planning around if you are visiting during these dates!
