Strike Noir Gundam joins the Tamashii Nations brand ROBOT Spirits <SIDE MS> ver. A.N.I.M.E line of high end Gundam action figures. The “ver. A.N.I.M.E.”(Action New Imagination Memory Emotion) series features dynamic anime proportions and dense sculpting, as well as a state-of-the-art articulation system that allows fans to recreate the impressive action scenes from the figures’ respective anime works.
Designed by mechanical designer Kunio Okawara, GAT-X105E Strike Noir Gundam is the “Strike E,” an upgraded version of the Strike Gundam, equipped with the Noir Striker. As a result of various modifications, the main color of the mobile suit has been changed to black, hence the name “Noir” (black). Strike Noir Gundam is operated by Earth Alliance’s Phantom Pain unit, piloted by Sven Cal Bayang in Gundam SEED C.E. 73: STARGAZER.
Releasing in 2006, Mobile Suit Gundam SEED C.E. 73 Stargazer is a three episode original net animation (ONA) side story set during the events of Mobile Suit Gundam SEED Destiny. The series is directed by Susumu Nishizawa, scripted by Shigeru Morita, with character designs by Kenichi Ōnuki, and a mechanical design team consisting of Kunio Okawara, Kimitoshi Yamane, Junichi Akutsu(BEECRAFT), and Kenki Fujioka. The music for the series was composed by Megumi Ōhashi, with Satori Negishi performing the ending theme song “Stargazer ~Hoshi no Tobira~”.
Story
Cosmic Era 73. Amidst the calamitous fall of Junius Seven, two employees of the Deep Space Survey and Development Organization (DSSD) struggle to escape the chaos. Engineer Selene McGriff and Deputy Security Director Edmond Duclos are both part of a special technological development team working on the GSX-401FW Stargazer, an advanced mobile suit designed for deep space exploration. As the city begins to collapse around them, Edmond opts to assist the local military and provide protection for Selene as she sets out to return the Stargazer to space for its final development.
All the while, the Earth Alliance has had their sights set on the Stargazer’s AI control module. Deploying a special task force within Phantom Pain led by Sven Cal Bayang, a young Natural and pilot of the GAT-X105E Strike Noir, the Earth Alliance military soon moves forward with their plans. The mission: assault the DSSD’s Trojan Station and capture the Stargazer and all its research, no matter the cost.
