HGUC Nightingale Releasing this July

Bandai Namco’s hobby business subsidiary, Bandai Spirits has released product information for the Nightingale appearing in the High Grade Universal Century (HGUC) line of Gundam model kits. The gunpla was first revealed last November during Gunpla Expo Tokyo 2020.

Designed by Yutaka Izubuchi, the MSN-04II Nightingale is piloted by Neo Zeon leader Char Aznable in the 1988 Yoshiyuki Tomino-penned Mobile Suit Gundam Char’s Counterattack: Beltorchika’s Children novel series, and its subsequent 2014 manga adaptation of the same name.

Beltorchika’s Children serves as an alternate retelling of the 1988 Mobile Suit Gundam Char’s Counterattack film. The novel features a storyline based on Tomino’s rejected original version of the film’s script, in favor of an adaptation of his 1987 novel Mobile Suit Gundam High- Streamer, as requested prior by Sunrise.
