After a rather bloody finale, Sunrise and the Bandai Namco Group‘s latest Gundam TV offering, Mobile Suit Gundam the Witch from Mercury has just completed what is now officially dubbed “Season 1” with its twelfth episode “Keep Marching on Instead of Running Off” and will resume with Season 2 in April 2023. Initially the series was broken into “cours” rather than formal seasons.

According to the home video release schedule on the series official website, the Witch from Mercury is currently listed to run for a total of twenty-four episodes across two seasons. With the completion of G Witch‘s first season, from January to March, TV editions of Mobile Suit Gundam: Hathaway’s Flash, Mobile Suit Gundam Thunderbolt and Mobile Suit Gundam Narrative will air in its 5pm time-slot.

The Witch from Mercury will release its first Blu-ray/DVD set March 24, 2023, featuring packaging and jacket artwork by character designer Mogumo and mechanical designer JNTHED.

Mobile Suit Gundam the Witch from Mercury is directed by Kiznaiver‘s Hiroshi Koyabashi, and penned by Code Geass scribe, Ichiro Ohkouchi. The tagline of the series is “This witch…rides a Gundam”. The series began broadcast October 2, 2022 on twenty-eight of MBS and TBS TV networks on their 5pm “Nichigo” anime block, as well as simulcasted internationally. The series was touted as the first mainline Gundam TV installment in seven years since the 2015 Mobile Suit Gundam: Iron-Blooded Orphans.
