Mobile Suit Gundam: Hathaway’s Flash 2nd Film Gets Winter Release Date

Not long after the Sunrise x Khara collaboration Mobile Suit Gundam GQuuuuuuX wrapped, the next Gundam installment is on the horizon: the long-awaited sequel to the critically acclaimed Mobile Suit Gundam: Hathaway’s Flash got a surprise teaser trailer.

The much-anticipated sequel is titled Mobile Suit Gundam: Hathaway’s Flash – The Sorcery of Nymph Circe. When it was first greenlit in 2021, the tentative title was Sun of Bright.

In June 2021, “MOBILE SUIT GUNDAM HATHAWAY” premiered in theaters across Japan. The film earned critical acclaim for its stunning visual artistry, emotionally resonant human drama centered on protagonist Hathaway, and realistic portrayal of war and conflict.
Featuring a powerful performance by Kensho Ono portraying protagonist Hathaway Noa and directed by the acclaimed Shukou Murase, this highly-anticipated new film hits theaters across Japan next winter.

No plot synopsis was provided, but the staff, main cast, and a vague “Next Winter” release window were announced.
