First seen at the Tamashii Nation 2023 event, Gundam Schwarzette joins the Tamashii Nations brand ROBOT Spirits <SIDE MS> ver. A.N.I.M.E line of high end Gundam action figures. The “ver. A.N.I.M.E.”(Action New Imagination Memory Emotion) series features dynamic anime proportions and dense sculpting, as well as a state-of-the-art articulation system that allows fans to recreate the impressive action scenes from the figures’ respective anime works.
Designed by mechanical designer Ippei Gyoubu, the MDX-0003 Gundam Schwarzette is piloted by Lauda Niell in the 2022 Mobile Suit Gundam the Witch from Mercury series. Developed by Jeturk Heavy Machinery, Gundam Schwarzette is a next-generation concept model that was being developed by the Jeturk company as a successor to the Darilbalde, until its development was frozen. It incorporates GUND Format technology provided by Prospera, and is equipped with GUND-Bits based on those of the Aerial.
Mobile Suit Gundam the Witch from Mercury is directed by Kiznaiver‘s Hiroshi Kobayashi, and penned by Code Geass scribe, Ichiro Ohkouchi. The tagline of the series is “This witch…rides a Gundam”. The series began broadcast October 2, 2022 on twenty-eight of MBS and TBS TV networks on their 5pm “Nichigo” anime block, as well as simulcasted internationally. The Witch from Mercury completed its two season, twenty-four episode run on July 2, 2023.
