French sportswear company Patrick is partnering with Gundam apparel store STRICT-G to release a line of Mobile Suit Gundam themed sneakers based on the original 1979 series. The sneaker model, “Californie”, is based on running shoes from the 1980s, and uses lightweight foam rubber for the sole. The upper is made of soft, breathable mesh, perfect for the coming season, and offers a gentle, comfortable fit.

The Mobile Suit Gundam Sneaker Californie will launch in Japan April 30 to the STRICT-G Tokyo Odaiba, Tokyo Solamachi, and Shizuoka NEOPASA locations priced at 22,500 yen. The shoes are available for online purchase via Premium Bandai and will release sometime in May.
