RGM-79Q GM Quel is the latest of Mobile Suit Gundam 0083: Stardust Memory MS to join the Tamashii Nations brand ROBOT SPIRITS <SIDE MS> ver. A.N.I.M.E line of high end Gundam action figures. The “ver. A.N.I.M.E.”(Action New Imagination Memory Emotion) series features dynamic anime proportions and dense sculpting, as well as a state-of-the-art articulation system that allows fans to recreate the impressive action scenes from the figures’ respective anime works.
Designed by prolific Gundam mechanical designer Hajime Katoki, the RGM-79Q GM Quel is the first mass-produced mobile suit created by the Titans, an elite task force created by the Earth Federation Forces in the aftermath of the Delaz Fleet’s Operation Stardust in UC 0083 to suppress rebellious Zeon and Spacenoid activities. As a variant of the RGM-79N GM Custom, the GM Quel was similarly armed with one of the few differences being the signature black-and-blue paint scheme used by the Titans. The mobile suit first appeared briefly in the 1991-1992 Mitsuko Kase and Takashi Imanishi-directed Mobile Suit Gundam 0083: Stardust Memory OVA(original video animation) series.
The figure will stand approximately 125mm with the following accessories:
- Beam Saber effect
- Shield grip
- GM Rifle
- Spare magazine × 2
- Joint set
- Additional left and right hands × 4
- Hand storage deck
The ROBOT SPIRITS RGM-79Q GM Quel ver. A.N.I.M.E. is priced at 7,150 yen with an August 2021 release date.
