Masami Obari is one of the most celebrated designers, animators, and directors within the anime industry, especially within the realms of mecha.
Obari has been a prolific figure for the Gundam franchise, staffing on such titles as Mobile Suit Gundam AGE, Mobile Suit Gundam Iron-Blooded Orphans, and the multitude of Gundam Build entries.
Hobby-based publisher HobbyJapan is releasing the “Masami Obari Art Book OBARISM” as a collection of mecha works by the animator. The book will feature original drawings, copyrighted illustrations, illustrations for product packaging and storyboards. It will also include the three-dimensional works supervised by Obari, and trace the trajectory of his work so far.

Japanese retailer HobbyLink Japan is selling the art book priced at 4,500 yen or $42.81USD. The book is open for pre-orders with an April 28, 2022 release date.
