The new Gundam Aerial joins the Tamashii Nations brand ROBOT Spirits <SIDE MS> ver. A.N.I.M.E line of high end Gundam action figures. The “ver. A.N.I.M.E.”(Action New Imagination Memory Emotion) series features dynamic anime proportions and dense sculpting, as well as a state-of-the-art articulation system that allows fans to recreate the impressive action scenes from the figures’ respective anime works.
The Gundam Aerial is the main mobile suit piloted by the protagonist in the upcoming Mobile Suit Gundam: The Witch from Mercury TV anime.
More details about the figure will be released May 23.
Still shrouded in mystery, the series was announced during the 2nd Gundam Conference in September 2021 by the Bandai-Namco Group. The Witch from Mercury will be the first new Gundam TV anime in seven years since the broadcast of Mobile Suit Gundam: Iron-Blooded Orphans, and the first to occupy MBS and TBS’s 5pm “Nichigo” anime block in five years. The series will broadcast this fall in October 2022.
Mobile Suit Gundam: The Witch from Mercury Prologue was announced as a prequel project for the series, releasing this summer. Included with the Prologue are two new mobile suits: Gundam Lfrith and Beguir-Beu.
During the 3rd Gundam Conference in March, Bandai announced a full merchandising line for The Witch from Mercury with new Gunpla and their various figure brands such as Tamashii Nations’s Robot Spirits and Chogokin, Banpresto, Mobile Suit Gundam G-Frame, and Gundam Converge.
