Gundam the Witch from Mercury Pushes Cour 1 Finale to January due to Scheduling Conflicts



The official Gundam portal website, Gundam Info, has announced the Mobile Suit Gundam the Witch from Mercury‘s broadcast schedule will be delayed by the Japanese TV broadcaster TBS‘s “Press Day 2022” or “Houdou no Hi 2022” event on December 18. The news was also broken on the official Twitter account for the series. G-Witch‘s new schedule will be as followed:

  • December 11, 2022 (Sun): Episode 10 will air
  • December 18, 2022 (Sun): TBS’s “Press Day 2022”
  • December 25, 2022 (Sun): Episode 11 will air
  • January 1, 2023 (Sun., holiday): New Year’s programming
  • January 8, 2023 (Sun): Episode 12 will air

The Bandai Namco Group had originally planned the Witch from Mercury to finish its first cour broadcast in December with the series resuming for its second cour in April 2023.

Mobile Suit Gundam the Witch from Mercury is directed by Kiznaiver‘s Hiroshi Koyabashi, and penned by Code Geass scribe, Ichiro Ohkouchi. The tagline of the series is “This witch…rides a Gundam”. The series began broadcast October 2, 2022 on twenty-eight of MBS and TBS TV networks on their 5pm “Nichigo” anime block, as well as simulcasted internationally.
