Prolific Japanese voice actor Toshihiko Seki has been confirmed by his agency to have tested positive for coronavirus(COVID-19). Seki’s agency 81 Produce issued a statement confirming the diagnosis. The 58 year old actor had feverish symptoms the night of July 31, then went to the hospital on August 1 the next day and underwent a PCR test. Seki tested positive for the virus on August 3. He’s currently remained hospitalized with stable symptoms.
Toshihiko Seki is one of the most renowned voice actors in the anime industry with over 215 credited roles. He’s known for his Gundam roles such as Duo Maxwell, Rau Le Creuset, and Rey Za Burrel, Iruka Umino from Naruto, Senketsu from Kill la Kill, recently Muzan Kibutsuji from Demon Slayer, to even tokusatsu roles such as Momotaros in the popular Kamen Rider Den-O series.
