Gundam’s Toshihiko Seki and Yoshiko Sakakibara Win at the 15th Seiyū Awards



The Seiyū Awards is an annual awards ceremony recognizing outstanding voice acting performance in anime and other Japanese media. The inaugural ceremony took place on March 3, 2007.

The ceremony’s selection committee has recently announced three recipients for the 15th Seiyū Awards.

Voicarion IX: Teikoku Koe Kabuki ~Nobunaga no Inu~ wins the The Synergy Award, an award for works that best show the talent of voice actors.

Toshihiko Seki wins the Kei Tomiyama Award, an award for the male seiyū who has been active in every field including acting. This will mark the second award the 58 year old actor has received since being awarded the Synergy Award at the 2nd Seiyū Awards in 2008 for Kamen Rider Den-O as Momotaros.

Yoshiko Sakakibara wins the Kazue Takahashi Award, an award for the female seiyū who has been active in every field including acting.

The 15th Seiyū Awards will be held at the Bunka Hōsō Media Plus Hall on March 6.
