Takanori Nishikawa Gets Drawn in the style of Gundam SEED Freedom by Hisashi Hirai

To commemorate the release of “Freedom,” the theme song for the Mobile Suit Gundam SEED Freedom film, singer Takanori Nishikawa has revealed a new artist visual depicting him in the movie’s style, dressed in a Compass uniform akin to the protagonist Kira Yamato. The illustration is by Hisashi Hirai, the main character designer for the entire Gundam SEED series.

“Freedom” was revealed as the film’s theme song in November, performed by Takanori Nishikawa with Tetsuya Komuro (stylized as t.komuro). Takanori Nishikawa has become synonymous with the Mobile Suit Gundam SEED series, performing multiple theme songs throughout its installments under his former stage name T.M.Revolution, such as “INVOKE,” “ignited,” “Meteor,” and “vestige”. Tetsuya Komura is a founding member of TM Network, who performed the iconic “Beyond the Time” for the 1988 Mobile Suit Gundam: Char’s Counterattack film.

As of today, the single for “Freedom” has been released, along with the ending theme “Sarigiwa no Romantics,” performed by See-Saw, and the official supporter song “Reborn,” by Nami Tamaki.

Additionally, the original soundtrack, composed by Toshihiko Sahashi, will release January 26 featuring 40 new tracks.
