Bandai Namco Holdings revealed in its financial results for the fiscal year ending March 2026 on May 13 that sales for the Mobile Suit Gundam IP surged 65.6% year-over-year to 254.3 billion yen, marking an all-time high. Even on a fourth-quarter basis alone, sales rose 75.1% year-over-year to 66.2 billion yen, setting a new quarterly record as well.
For the Gundam series, the success of Mobile Suit Gundam GQuuuuuuX and increased attention surrounding the GUNDAM NEXT FUTURE PAVILION exhibit at the Osaka-Kansai Expo helped drive strong performance for Gunpla, trading card games, and titles such as SD Gundam G Generation Eternal. The momentum also positively impacted the arcade gaming business, with strong sales reported for Mobile Suit Gundam Extreme Vs. 2 Infinite Boost.
The company also noted that earnings were supported by theatrical box office revenue, global streaming distribution, and worldwide licensing across Gundam-related products and services, including the strong theatrical debut of Mobile Suit Gundam Hathaway’s Flash: The Witch of Circe.
