While LUNA SEA will be performing the opening theme songs for the Mobile Suit Gundam THE ORIGIN recompilation series, it has been announced that Aina the End, GLIM SPANKY, KOM_I, and Miwa will each perform an ending theme for the series, all produced by LUNA SEA member SUGIZO. SUGIZO also serves as the general music producer for the Gundam 40th Anniversary project.
The first ending theme will be a rendition of “Encounter”(Meguriai) from the 1982 compilation film Mobile Suit Gundam III: Encounters in Space, performed by the duo GLIM SPANKY. The remaining three ending themes will be surprise announcements made at a later date.
Based on the six Mobile Suit Gundam THE ORIGIN installments that screened from 2015 through 2018, Eve of the Red Comet is a 13 episode TV series re-edited and will be broadcast starting April 29, 2019 on NHK General.
