Bandai Namco’s hobby business subsidiary, Bandai Spirits has released product information for the Gundam Deathscythe appearing in the High Grade After Colony(HGAC) line of Gundam model kits. The gunpla was first revealed last November during Gunpla Expo Tokyo 2020.
The XXXG-01D Gundam Deathscythe is the signature mobile suit piloted by Duo Maxwell in the 1995 New Mobile Report Gundam Wing series. The unit was the second Gundam type mobile suit to appear in the series after the XXXG-01W Wing Gundam, piloted by series protagonist Heero Yuy.
The sliding gimmick of the shoulder armor and knee armor parts allows for natural posing.
Two types of Beam Scythe effects are included.
The blade parts of the Buster Shield is deployed in conjunction with the left and right sides. Clear parts can be attached to reproduce the beam injection state. Parts to reproduce the Beam Scythe retracted state are included.
